Standard EMS is the government postal service route: reliable, tracked, but slower and occasionally inspected individually. Express DHL and FedEx move through private customs brokers, which means faster transit but higher scrutiny on declared values. Sea mail is the budget option for heavy, low-value items that you do not need quickly. We sent two-kilogram test parcels on tax-free, EMS, and DHL to the same California address to get real numbers.

Our three test parcels left the Guangdong warehouse on the same Monday. The DHL parcel arrived Friday — five days total, including customs. The tax-free parcel arrived the following Friday — eleven days. The EMS parcel arrived the Monday after that — sixteen days. These numbers will vary by season, customs backlog, and your specific state. East Coast addresses typically add two to four days. During November and December, expect every line to stretch by three to five days.
